FAQs

Quick answers about using Roomee. For safety and listing guidance, see those dedicated pages too.

  • Is Roomee a property agency?

No. Roomee is a platform where listers and renters connect. Any lease or deposit arrangement is between you and the other party. Always verify details in person where it makes sense.

  • Does it cost anything to browse listings?

No. Searching listings and roommate profiles is free. Listing flows may introduce fees later — we will spell that out clearly before you publish.

  • How do I list a room or a whole place?

Use “Define your space” in the header, walk through the form, add honest photos, and publish when you are ready. You can save a draft locally while you work on it.

  • What does “buddy-up” mean?

It is for people who want to team up and rent a place together — for example, two professionals sharing a two-bed instead of each renting solo.

  • Can I trust every listing?

We show trust and verification cues where available, but you should still do your own checks: view the space, ask for references, and never send money to strangers without a clear agreement.

  • I forgot my password. What now?

Use the “Forgot password” link on the login page. If email delivery is slow, wait a few minutes and check spam before trying again.
